I have completely forgotten my PIN and I have no idea why. Went to use my card on Friday night and just as I was about to type the 4 numbers in my mind went blank. Totally random asĀ  have had the PIN for 2 years at least, and I know I know it! So froze the card on Friday night after 3 wrong attempts. tried again 24 hrs, still not correct. So rang the bank and said what do I do? Come in and change your PIN they said. Ok. Then realised I had just ordered a new card because my current one is about to expire. This is when it got really complicated. Because the PIN is embedded in the card, the new card also has the PIN I can’t remember. But I now can’t change the PIN on the old card, only the new card because the system will see the new cards expiry date which doesn’t match my old card. So I can change the new card PIN but that card won’t work until the start of October, which is a month away. So unless I could remember the PIN on my old card that one was useless to me. But i still needed to be able to get cash out, so I have had to order a new card with a new PIN, which I will get in a weeks time!

The thing is I am sure that now I can remember the PIN but the card still won’t work for me, and it is just very annoying. It is sitting in my mind all the time – maybe it was this combination of numbers, or this…

well I haven’t blogged any of this before, but i have a new job and am moving to Canberra. visited on Saturday to do a bit of house hunting. Was very lucky and found a town house (a pic of the new house) to share with two girls which is a 10 min walk to where i will be working, and a huge Westfield. so it is all very convenient so far.

i sort of didn’t really measure the room, so now that I am trying to think about what to take down i am worried that i am imagining the room to be much bigger than it really is. but really only decent ting i have is my bed. i will sort of be taking down a few small drawer units – like bedside ones, and an old table to use as a desk. so i definitely see myself living out of a suitcase for a few weeks while i settle in. and i don’t have a mirror yet either to take down, which no one else seems to grasp the importance of.

but it is all very exciting, a big change but one i am looking forward to.

I have 5 mins tops before I can leave from work today. No point in starting next big task so need to fill the last few minutes up with something. Just read my friends latest blog entry and had no idea what is was about – all nerd related stuff though. I admit I have been spending a whole lot of time on facebook lately. It is quite fun and addictive. And almost like a blog in that you can see what you and everyone else does each time they log on. I have an aquarium, pirate ship with lots of booty, i know which friends are ‘like’ me and lots of free drinks! what more could a girl want? I know the arguments against these social network sites – but for people who you can’t see and talk to easily, its really handy. Having travelled overseas for a year I have some friends who it just isn’t possible to see. So having them on facebook makes it really handy to stay in contact.

tomorrow I am off to the snow -am most excited! keep looking at all my old snowboard pis from Canada! and checking the snow reports religiously each day this week. Looks like mostly fine weather -may be cloudy and some snow showers. Not a whole lot of new snow this week which isn’t ideal, but I am going to have so much fun! can’t wait to be swish swishing again!
