Had a most successful soccer game on the weekend. The whole team played a great first half, scoring 4 goals to nil. I finally played better and actually got a goal which was great. Not the best goal ever, but it crossed the line after my team mate took a shot and I pounced on the rebound to finish all the hard work! We shuffled the team up a little in the second half and I was stuck in midfield which wasn’t as exciting. I seemed to end up just running up and down the field without much ball time. Plus the other team were all bunching up on the other side of the field so kept getting pulled over so I could mark someone. We played a scrappy 2nd half. They got one goal off a free kick, which was direct and no one could have stopped it. We won though which was great considering we hadn’t played for 3 or 4 weeks due to all the rain in Sydney lately. So the competition ladder is below and my team is on the top!!! we should be more points ahead because the other two teams have had 2 byes whereas we have only had one.

Sydney was bracing for the worst last night when weather experts told us we were going to have a massive storm. Winds were going to average 100km/h, near cyclone category 2! It was all very disaster disaster, make sure you stay away from the sea and be careful driving. However as you can guess, it didn’t really happen. We got snow in the blue mountains which was super cool. And big waves on the coast. But in Sydney itself it was a pretty normal night.
These are some pics from Katoomba in the Blue Mtns.
Q: How does a snowboarder introduce himself/herself to you?
A: Sorry mate.
ps – I am a snowboarder but I really like this joke.
I have hardly thought about adding any new post here since I started working. I find when i am on a computer for 8 hrs a day, I really don’t want to come home and spend more hours in front of it. Plus being new to working every day I am usually pretty exhausted. It quite strange but I thought I used to spend alot of time in front of the computer but not compared to when you are working on one. I find my eyes get sore or get little headaches during the day. I guess you get used to it eventually…
today its cold again, but no rain which is better. I went for a bike ride for a couple of hours. nothing too exciting, just to get off my bum as soccer has been cancelled again. The fields are too wet. But otherwise an unexciting weekend.
