When I turned up for my soccer game on Sunday, I was told I was playing in goals for the first half. Massive surprise which I wasn’t too happy about, at all. Not only have I never done it before, but we were playing the second best team so I thought it was pretty stupid to put someone inexperienced in goals. not my decision so I donned the gear and went in. Unluckily they took a shot in the first 5 mins and it went in. A great start! I did manage to save a few later to redeem myself and get some nice kicks out. The most stressful 40 mins of soccer I have ever played I reckon! so second half I was on the field at left back/ midfield. Other team didn’t score, but unfortunately neither did we. We didn’t play very well I thought, hardly any shots on goal. and I was a bit pissed off at the team so it didn’t worry me too much that we lost.
yesterday I went into the city for an interview at 10.30. I was so determined not to be late that I was there by 9.45am. the bus was super fast though. Anyway I had my working women outfit on, black pants, shirt and black pointy shoes – all new!
It was a position for T-card, the new public transport fare system they are introducing, using smart card technology. The role was data capture officer for private bus network. Basically work with a couple bus companies and put all their timetable data in the database and then add in fare sections, timing etc. sounded pretty interesting. so i would say it went fine. bit hard to tell as first one. I don’t think I screwed up but I guess it depends on if they feel I have enough skill to do it.
But have another company interview on monday, and I like this job better so will be able to go in more prepared. fingers crossed!!!
i just found out that windows automatic updater was completely screwing my computer around. it was making the cpu run 100% and slowing everything down big time. so just spent the morning fixing it and it is like i have a new computer. very pleased. now I just need an update for windows update so i can fix it. any ideas?
i googled it and seems like heaps of other users have the exact same problem. i don’t understand Microsoft sometimes.
other news items – managed soccer training without any major hiccups to the knee. still bit tender but i should last. had a job interview, well a screening one but should get into the next stage, so fingers crossed as its a job I would like.
