imagine walking along narrow cobble stone streets surrounded on either side by 300 year old stone buildings, while a horse and buggy passes you by. Then you are in Canada! French speaking Quebec where the french influence shines through. I love it here as it seems like a whole other country.
A very relaxed city which spends as much time outdoors in the summer months as possible. They only get maybe 8-10 weeks of true summer so they enjoy it as much as they can. I saw some pictures of the 1998 freezing ice storm, the damage and extent of it was unbelievable!!! Like nothing I had ever seen before! So I can understand why they enjoy the summer - the winter is so hard!
I farewell the city, and the great family I have been staying with tomorrow, and will be sad to say goodbye.
