A few activities going on in Sunshine Village today. We are continuing our spring festival with some races and live music. The races are
right outside where I am working so pretty cool to just pop outside and watch them during the day. It was short, just a few gates and jumps to go over. The course got quite slushy too which made it fun!!!
The live music is on now, a guy named Aaron Pritchett, country singer. Every time the door opens I can hear it.
But workwise not much is happening. Hardly any lessons going out and no one really needing our services so bit bored. Just trying to stay until 4ish so will make some money and keep the hours up.
well the boredom was briefly abated when two RCMP walked in. A couple of teenagers had tried to steal a snowboard. The owners reported it lost and the gondola dudes were told to look out for it, and they spotted it I guess as these two kids were caught red-handed. They walked them out hand-cuffed! quite a scandal.
Made the afternoon a little more interesting.
I have been sitting all day at work. Apart from serving a few people this morning nothing has happened. I am totally bored.

oh yeah, did I mention I was bored?
sometimes the most simple of activities can be the best. Last night HR put on a staff bingo night which was lots of fun. I didn't win, although I was very close a few times – one or two numbers left. Good times – hot dogs, beer, mike's hard lemonade and bingo, all while sitting inside looking out at the snow storm which came through, dumping 4cm of snow over a nice hard crusty icy layer.
So driving from Banff to Canmore the other day with Carol and Judy. It usually takes about 20 mins, unless of course the car runs out of gas!!! WE were about 2km away when Carol says, 'guys the car is loosing power'. So we pull over to the side of the highway, climb out and walk into Canmore. Took us 40 mins and was very annoying.
I am not sure if maybe we should have guessed – seeing as when the car started the power windows didn't work, neither did the blinkers, the radio or the dashboard. But really its not our fault, the person who used it last should have filled it up!!!
